Many healing practitioners have found themselves misunderstood, sometimes facing accusations of gaslighting those who have experienced trauma or victimization. The claim is that by offering a spiritual perspective that encourages individuals to see their experiences as part of a greater soul journey, practitioners are invalidating the pain and suffering of those who have been hurt. However, this interpretation does not capture the deeper essence of what QHHT seeks to provide, nor does it reflect the profound compassion that most practitioners feel for those who have been victimized. Compassion for the Wounded QHHT practitioners understand and deeply respect the pain that people go through when they’ve experienced trauma, whether it be abuse, betrayal, or hardship. These experiences can be life-altering, and in no way does QHHT diminish the reality of the suffering involved. Compassion is at the heart of the QHHT process; practitioners hold space for the emotions and experiences of their clients, allowing them to express and process the hurt they’ve endured. Far from denying these feelings, the approach encourages acknowledgment, healing, and ultimately, understanding. The accusations of gaslighting stem from a misunderstanding of the QHHT practice. Gaslighting is a form of manipulation that causes someone to question their reality. QHHT, however, aims to help individuals access the wisdom of their Higher Self, where a more expanded understanding of life’s challenges can be explored. This spiritual perspective doesn’t deny the hardship but seeks to illuminate the larger purpose behind it. The Wisdom of the Higher Self In QHHT sessions, practitioners often facilitate communication with a client’s Higher Self—a deeper, wiser aspect of their consciousness that holds the answers to life’s questions. Through this connection, individuals are able to gain insight into their experiences from a soul level. For those who have been victimized, this can be a transformative process, offering a new way of looking at their pain. In many cases, the Higher Self will reveal that while the individual has experienced trauma, they are not defined by it. They are not helpless victims but rather powerful souls who are learning and growing through these challenging experiences. The Higher Self often encourages the person to explore what the soul is trying to learn through these events, whether it be resilience, forgiveness, self-love, or strength. This perspective empowers the individual, offering them a path to transcend their 'victimhood' and step into their own spiritual mastery. Shifting from Victimhood to Empowerment This shift in perspective—from seeing oneself as a victim to understanding the soul’s growth—is not intended to invalidate anyone’s experience. Rather, it offers a way out of the pain and suffering that can feel endless when we are trapped in the narrative of what may have been the catalyst for their suffering. The Higher Self, in its infinite wisdom, understands that every experience carries the potential for profound growth and healing, even if that growth is difficult to see from our human perspective. Practitioners of QHHT are not telling people that their suffering is imagined or insignificant. Instead, they are inviting them to explore the possibility that their soul may have chosen certain experiences for the purpose of learning and evolution. This doesn’t mean the individual “deserved” the pain they went through, but rather that there is an opportunity to extract deeper meaning from those events. This is a powerful form of healing, as it moves people from feeling powerless to understanding the greater role they play in their soul’s journey. Misunderstanding or Spiritual Insight? The misunderstanding comes from a place of confusion between spiritual empowerment and psychological invalidation. While gaslighting manipulates people into doubting their truth, QHHT seeks to help individuals see beyond the limitations of their conscious mind, inviting them into a deeper spiritual truth. The process isn’t about dismissing the pain but rather giving the person a higher vantage point from which to understand it. QHHT practitioners have had intimate conversations with the Higher Selves of many individuals, including those who have been victimized. What often emerges is a message of empowerment and love—a reminder that the soul is capable of incredible growth through life’s challenges. This doesn’t deny the difficulty of those experiences but reframes them as opportunities for transformation. The Higher Self, in its infinite compassion and wisdom, always seeks to help the individual understand their power and their ability to heal. Conclusion It is important to clarify that QHHT practitioners are not gaslighting victims. They are offering a spiritual perspective that seeks to empower individuals by helping them understand their life experiences from a soul level. Compassion is at the core of the work, and practitioners hold deep respect for the pain that people have endured. Through connection with the Higher Self, individuals can begin to see their experiences in a new light, one that honors their growth and evolution while acknowledging the reality of their suffering. In this way, QHHT serves not to blame, but to heal—to help individuals reclaim their power, transform their pain, and move forward with a deeper understanding of their soul’s journey, when they are ready to do so..
