Courting disappointment As I have deeply inquired about this subject and talked it over with those I hold in high esteem as well as my higher self, expectations can indeed set the stage for disappointment. Although it is rare in QHHT, it does bear mention and can be attributed to anything in life. We resist any other possible outcomes when we insist that things go a certain way. This resistance can lead to frustration and disillusionment when reality does not align with our expectations. As a dear friend told me, "insistence IS resistance." All humans are learning to drop the expectations that stem from the ego mind and to go to the heart of openness that brings serenity.
